Winners @ BIG AIR WAKEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2011. It might not have been the greatest weather but this did not stop 27 Riders from putting in some great performances at the Monster sponsored BIG AIR Wakeboard competition this weekend at Lough Muckno WSC in Castleblayney. Well done to all and especially to Ciaran Agnew and the Club organisers and also to IWWF Wakeboard Chairman Andy McQuiggan for towing the Kicker all the way from Colraine ! The Riders included Trolls, U14 Girls and Boys, Novices, Open Men, Pro Women and Men. With eleven Riders under the age of fourteen, their performances were very impressive. This certainly promises well for the future. It was also great to welcome home Irish Team Rider David O’Caoimh with his World Championships silver medal – a very special achievement and one which has set new achievement targets for our Riders in the future. Lindsay Whelan was also congratulated for her fifth place in the same World Championships.
